Car flips over fence in M4 collision
DURBAN NORTH – A car flipped during a collision on the M4, coming to a rest on its roof in Fairway Rd.
The car flipped over the fence and landed on the adjacent road after a collision that involved two vehicles. The vehicles collided on the south bound carriage way of the M4 Ruth First Highway, while traveling toward Durban.
Crisis Medical Paramedics and Marshall Security arrived on the scene to assist the driver (20) who sustained moderate injuries. “Intermediate Life Support Intervention was used to stabilize him, before he was placed onto a specialized stretcher for suspected neck and spinal cord injury and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care,” said Kyle Van Reenen of Crisis Medical. The driver of the second vehicle did not suffer any injury and was assessed on scene.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown, however SAPS were on the scene and will investigate further.
