Cops bust woman with dagga worth 80k
DURBAN – A 40-year-old woman was found to be in possession of dagga to the estimated street value of R80 000 yesterday on Soldiers Way in the CBD.
The woman was arrested when Durban Central Police conducted an operation around Durban CBD. Once found in possession of dagga, the members proceeded to her place of residence in Umlazi K section where two bags and two 25 litre buckets full of dagga were recovered. The woman was detained at Durban Central police station.
The KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa praised the members for the arrest of the suspects. “We will continue with our operations to ensure that we remove all drugs from our society,” said Langa.
The woman is set to appear today in the Durban Magistrates’ Court for possession of dagga.
