Man stabbed to death in Durban North

DURBAN NORTH: A man was brutally stabbed to death on Swapo Rd just before 7:30 pm on Saturday.

The man (33) was stabbed three times after an altercation broke out outside a restaurant. Paramedics rushed to the scene, but little could be done and the man was declared dead on arrival. The victim was involved in an argument when the suspect (22) produced a knife, and stabbed the victim (33) in the neck, arm and chest, before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. Marshall Security and SAPS were called to the scene. “The suspect was arrested on the same day,” said Captain Nqobile Gwala, provincial spokesperson for the SAPS. The incident is under investigation. “The motive is still unknown,” said Gwala.

The suspect will appear in court today.
